    The students are interns assisting collision investigators from the local police department gather and analyze information and physical evidence from the collision scene. The students need to determine if the driver of the vehicle was at fault, which is to say, if the driver was exceeding the legal speed limit. Based on the conclusions drawn in the students' report to the collision investigators, legal action could be taken against the guilty party in accordance with the Criminal Code (Dangerous Driving causing Death, or Bodily Harm among other charges).
