This investigation extends the previous case of a one-dimensional collision. In this problem, there is a two-dimensional collision between two vehicles. Students take on the role of an intern working for Montreal police investigators. The object is to determine, as accurately as possible, the circumstances surrounding the collision (initial velocity of the vehicles involved, direction vehicles were heading) in order to take action against the drivers at fault under the Criminal Code (dangerous driving causing death or other charges).
