Since its launch in the fall of 2008, the Problem Based Learning for College Physics site has attracted a lot of users. As of today, 5266 teachers from 95 countries are using PBL with their students.

The purpose of this site is to provide college instructors with high-quality, field-tested Problem-Based Learning (PBL) activities. Possibly the greatest drawback of PBL is the difficulty in finding or creating good problems. Each activity presented here has already been used within Quebec College classrooms. Instructors may be interested in using the approach, but lack the time to develop thorough context-rich problems. This site therefore presents a sampling of PBL problems that can be readily used by interested instructors. Any and all feedback concerning problems presented here is welcomed and encouraged.

To assure the viability of this site, a continuous supply of problems is needed. Instructors interested in contributing PBL problems to the community are strongly encouraged to do so through this site in the section Submit a Problem.

Although we have started with PBL problems in physics (as the initial group of interested instructors shared this content-field), we are open to problems from all disciplines. The sincere hope is that this site will be a central resource in planning meaningful college classroom activities. Given the continuous user-contributor interactions, this site is to be viewed as a work in progress.
